Happy Week 3! Hope you all have settled in to classes without too much trouble, because we are excited to announce our first event of the semester:
a ROOT BEER FLOAT / election social!
Come join us THIS THURSDAY, 1/27, at 8pm (room ZHS 163) to make your own delicious root beer floats, meet and greet your fellow bio enthusiasts, and cast in your vote for Phi Sigma's new Publicity Chair this semester!
If you are interested in applying for this position, please complete and e-mail the attached application in the Membership Tab to [email protected]
It is due on 1/27 at 12pm and please prepare a short 1-2 min speech for the social.
Also, we are now collecting both Associate and Full membership applications for the spring semester! The documents can be found in our Membership Tab. Please submit the appropriate application and membership fee to us by our first speaker meeting, which will take place in the middle of February (exact date and time to be e-mailed soon).
Finally, we have a few opportunities available for you all! Openings for clinical health psychology research assistants and scholarship interviewers are now available, so please refer below for more details about getting involved!

The USC College Office of Admission is asking you to serve as an interviewer for this year's Trustee and Presidential Scholarship candidates. The scholarship interviews will be conducted on the following days:

Position: Research Assistant
Type of employment: Volunteer
Department: Psychology
Study description: Male RAs are needed for help with laboratory study in a clinical health psychology laboratory. RA must have availability from 9-1 on Monday, 10-2 on Wednesday, or 10-2 on Friday. Please email contact personnel for more information.
Job Duties: RAs will assist with running subjects through a new laboratory based study and data entry.
Qualifications: Genuine interest in research opportunity in psychology lab, flexibility in schedule
Time commitment: 8-12 hours a week
Location: Seeley G. Mudd (SGM) building
