Hey everyone,

Hopefully midterm season is winding down for you guys as the school year heads towards spring break. Woooooo.

We'll be having our third meeting on March 13 AT 6pm in ZHS 360.

This will be the last day that membership applications will be due. Please be sure that your ENTIRE application is filled out, especially if you are applying for full membership. This means every blank that addresses you or needs your signature needs to be filled out. All other blanks that address e-board members or whatnot will be filled out accordingly later. Don't forget that for the full membership form, there is a front page that you need to sign as well. If you do not have this complete, you will not be able to be officially recognized as a member by the national Phi Sigma organization. We will be sending in all dues and forms to the national organization by March 15, 2013, so please be prepared with your dues and filled-out forms at the meeting. If you are interested in joining, please visit our page at http://uscphisigma.weebly.com/membership.html for details. If you cannot make it, arrange a time with us independently to drop things off.

We will also be holding e-board elections so this will be the last chance to submit applications for e-board. You can send e-board applications to our email at ucsphisigma@gmail and find e-board apps at http://uscphisigma.weebly.com/membership.html.

The other details of the meeting are still TBA, but we will also be going over ordering cords for graduating seniors.

We hope to see you there!

Hello everyone,

It was great meeting a lot of the faces behind the emails during the meeting on Wednesday. I'm glad many of you came to listen to Dr. Baker speak, and also to find out more about Phi Sigma and a little about getting started with and funding your research. We will definitely revisit this topic more in-depth in the future.

We will be posting the slides from our meeting along with the useful links up on the website soon, as well as send them out to interested people.

If you were unable to turn in your  membership apps and dues at the meeting, fear not--Sean and I are currently establishing a next meeting date within the next two weeks and you can turn them into us at that meeting.

However, if you are interested in e-board, please send us your application to our email as soon as possible.

Don't forget to subscribe to our emails on uscphisigma.weebly.com to stay updated!

Toodles,
-Nicole

Welcome everyone!

First, thanks for everyone who came out to the informational meeting on January 30th. It was great meeting some new faces, and we hope to see you again in the future!

Speaking of the future, we'll be having our next general meeting on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27th, in THH 108 at 6pm.

During the meeting, we will collect membership forms and dues, hold e-board elections, and start things off with our first speaker of the semester--Dr. Bob Baker! Tonight's talk will be titled: "Research involvement is fun, collaborative and culturally uplifting."

Pizza and drinks will be provided. A USC Credit Union representative will also be present to give out free USC merchandise.

If you are interested in joining the organization either as an associate or full member, please check out the membership page for the appropriate forms and information on the dues.

If you are also interested in joining e-board, please fill out the e-board form as well found on the membership page. Sean and I are resuscitating the organization from hiatus, and we need tons of help. :) There is also a description of e-board positions on the membership page as well.

If you have joined in the past and have not received official recognition to have done so--please email us with your name, USC ID number, and the date and/or year that you have turned in your form and paid your dues.

As for turning in the forms, you can either print it out and bring it to an e-board member in person, or you can email it us at [email protected]

See you guys soon!
