First off, a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the IMAX event on Saturday! It was awesome seeing you, and I think we can all agree that the IMAX cinematography was incredible! Hope that we can take more people with us next time around!

Second, we are very excited to announce another milk and cookies session, this time with guest speaker Dr. Casey Donovan, who is the Chair of USC's Kinesiology Department! Here are the details of our meeting with Dr. Donovan this week:

What: "Not-so-Sweet Talk to the Brain: Portal Vein Glucose Sensing in Hypoglycemia"

Hey Phi Sigma Members!
We hope your break was restful and now you are ready to finish this semester strong!
To take a load off of this craziness, Phi Sigma invites you to attend a FREE IMAX movie and dinner this Saturday (3/26)!We will be meeting at 5pm to head over together to the California Science Center and watch "Hubble" 3-D (http://www.californiasciencecenter.org/Imax/Features/Hubble3D/Hubble3D.php). The movie will last from 5:30 p.m. to approximately 6:15 p.m., and will be followed by a free Subway dinner. Space is limited, so if you are interested in attending, please RSVP by email by Friday, Mar. 25, at 5:00 p.m.
Also, we are excited to announce an awesome research opportunity

Dr. Ite Laird of the USC Health Sciences Campus (HSC) researches lung cancer and is currently seeking a junior undergraduate researcher for her lab. She has emphasized that students will be considered on a first-come, first-evaluated basis, so please fill out this application and turn it in ASAP!
